„Salamanders in Art and Science“ (Salamander in Kunst und Wissenschaft) ist der provisorische Titel eines Bilderbuchs, das Max Sparreboom und Bas Teunis voraussichtlich im Jahr 2017 publizieren wollen. Eine Auswahl der feinsten und bemerkenswertesten Illustrationen europäischer und asiatischer Salamander aus der wissenschaftlichen und naturkundlichen Literatur wird dabei vorgestellt werden. Ein kurzer Text ist auch dabei. Er wird eine Zusammenfassung der originären Tafellegenden sowie Anmerkungen über biologi-sche, kulturelle oder technische Aspekte der Illustrationen beinhalten. Der Text wird in Englisch abgefasst und das Buch wird mit Literaturnachweisen und einem Index abgeschlossen.

Summary

„Salamanders in Art and Science“ is the provisional title of a picture book, which Max Sparreboom and Bas Teunis are planning to pu-blish in early 2017. A selection of the finest and most noteworthy illustrations of European and Asian salamanders from the scientific literature and natural history text books will be presented. The text will be brief and contain a summary of the original plate legends, as well as notes on biological, cultural or technical aspects of the illustrations. The text will be in English and the book will be concluded with references and indices.
